The root of the chord is always the easiest to find because its name is in the name of the chord!
The root of a C Diminished 7th (With Flat 5th) chord is C
The minor third of a C Diminished 7th (With Flat 5th) chord is Eb. The minor third is up three half-steps from the Root.
The flat fifth of a C Diminished 7th (With Flat 5th) chord is Gb. The flat fifth is down six half-steps from the Root -- but it's easier to just think of it as a variation on the fifth. Once you know your fifths, the flat fifth and sharp fifth are a lot easier to find.
The major sixth of a C Diminished 7th (With Flat 5th) chord is A. The major sixth is down three half-steps from the Root (a minor third down).
In diminished chords, the major sixth is also known as the diminished seventh. For the purposes of this tutorial, we'll be learning it as the major sixth, since it's easier to consider it separately than the other two sevenths, the major seventh (M7) and minor seventh (m7)
